Les Carroz Village

Les Carroz d'Araches is a charming traditional alpine village in the Grand Massif region of the French Alps. It is a spacious, sunny family resort where life still revolves around the village square with its pavement cafes and interesting little shops. It has the lived in feel of a real alpine French village which remains open all year round offering fantastic winter skiing and snowboarding around the Grand Massif and walking and mountain sport activities set in beautiful mountain countryside for the summer.


Free Internet on the pistes with hot spots at departure from the cable car of Kédeuze in Les Carroz, Departure from the gondola and the cable car at Esserts in Morillon and other locations throughout the Grand Massif.


New in 2018 is the Luge track which runs from the base of the cable car of Kédeuze in Les Carroz. It comprises a 350m climb before an 850m downhill run with banked turns, rollers and a succession of turns. Great fun for all the family and is an all season experience.

Weekly Farmers' Market

On Tuesdays, you can buy delicous cheeses, fresh bread, local vegetables and fruit or just hunt for a bargain at the savoyard market held all year round in Les Carroz.

Les Carroz d'Araches in the Grand Massif is only 45 minutes from Geneva and 30 minutes from Chamonix which is a fantastic area for winter skiing and mountain walking in the summer. The beautiful town of Annecy with its wonderful lake, medieval houses and micro-climate is only 40 minutes away, which is a great place to visit.


Summer in Les Carroz d'Araches – so much to do ...

Don't miss the hot air balloons taking off from the village, summer and winter. The tourist office in the square is the place to start each holiday, pick up the entertainment guide and enjoy the free shows, welcome drinks, children's entertainment. Visit the lakes at Morillon, Annecy and Passy. Go for some breathtaking walks. Telecabine is open (July - August), so great for ramblers, mountain biking and VTT. There's also the road cycling, and the Tour de France which has passed nearby regularly.
